FUNERAL SERVICE CHARGES We are pleased to provide you with a full disclosure of our funeral service charges. To help you understand funeral costs we have prepared an outline of the categories that make up a funeral account. There are basically four sections: casket & merchandise selections, professional service charges, cash advances, and taxes on applicable items.
To help consumers, legislation states that all funeral homes must provide an itemized price list of all of their related funeral service charges, as well as a price-list of casket and merchandise charges. This list must be available at the consumers' request in person, without cost or obligation. We make every effort to provide professional and personal service as well as quality merchandise to our customer at competitive and affordable prices. We do so while maintaining quality facilities, experienced staff and the highest of ethical standards. CASKET & MERCHANDISE SELECTIONS We offer a wide selection of quality caskets and merchandise, which are priced separately. Additional merchandise include burial vaults, headstones, register books, stationary packages, floral arrangements, cremation urns, and memorial gift items. These are listed on the contract under "Taxable Merchandise Selected." PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CHARGES Professional service charges are charges that include overhead fees, removal from place of death, embalming, dressing, visitation, use of automobiles, use of staff for services, and more.
